Mesa Verde National Park

 Chimney Rock National Monument  Chimney Rock is a sacred ancestral site of the Chacoan culture, with archaeological ruins dating back over 1,000 years.  

 Treasure Falls is a 105-foot high waterfall just off the highway, fed by snowmelt from the nearby peaks. Legend has it that French explorers once buried gold near the falls, hence the name. 

 Wolf Creek Pass is a famously scenic yet challenging Colorado mountain pass on US 160, known for its stunning San Juan Mountain views, steep grades (up to 7%), treacherous winter conditions, and famous C.W. McCall song, featuring braking stations, hiking to Treasure Falls, and access to the Continental Divide Trail.  

LOVING LIFE HAVING FUN at the Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve is in southern Colorado. It’s known for huge dunes like the towering Star Dune, and for the seasonal Medano Creek and beach created at the base of the dunes. The backcountry Medano Pass Primitive Road winds through a canyon toward the Sangre de Cristo mountains. Trails lead to forests, wetlands and alpine lakes like Medano Lake, which is home to trout and tundra wildlife.   

LOVING LIFE HAVING FUN at Zapata Falls is a waterfall located near the base of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains in southern Colorado, south of Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve. The falls are known for their unique setting, nestled in a narrow crevasse and requiring a short, moderately challenging hike to reach, including wading through the stream and climbing rocks. During the summer, the falls offer a cool escape, while in winter, they can freeze into an impressive ice formation
